Living Room | Reveal!

Finally…a project far enough along to call it “done.”

Of course, done for us doesn’t really mean done. There is still one project left in this living room that is still on my dream list (knocking down the drywall encasing the stairs and installing a true open railing) but seeing as it will probably not happen anytime soon we’re calling it “done.” As such, we made a little time to take some pictures today. The pictures aren’t the greatest as the battery was very low and as a result (I think), the auto-focus was being a little bit wonky. Additionally, I had to rush through the photos before the battery died. But in the end, we were still happy enough with them and we were too excited to have to wait for another weekend to reveal the results project.

So, where were we when we left off? For a refresher, here is the living room before we moved in:

And then, again here is the living room when we actually moved in:

Finally, here we are today!

For a side-by-side comparison:

We’ll do another post later this week covering where most of the items were sourced and pointing out all the projects/changes that it took to get to where we are today.

Hope you enjoyed the final product!

  3. Found you through Apartment therapy- love the room! Can’t wait to hear how you did the shelves in your TV nook. We have one of those and I hate it! Love your hutch and sofa too- Gorgeous!

  4. Hey we’ve been on the search for the perfect blue for our bedroom, and I believe i found it in your beautiful living room! May I ask what paint you used?

    • hey Luke. The color we used was Benjamin Moore’s Vermont Slate. It really is a GREAT color. I think it really completed the room when we finished that accent wall. thanks for the kind words!

      • Hey Jamie, great job and very inspirational! Re the colours, the Vermont Slate Blue looks fantastic when contrasted against the grey. What paint did you use for the grey/rest of the room? Thanks!

      • Hey there, thanks! The rest of the room is kind of a custom grey color. We used behr’s Mickey’s Shadow but had the store lighten it by 87.5% to get to the shade you see on our walls.

    • thank you 🙂 glad you like the wall art – we have so much artwork bookmarked from Society 6 for whenever we decide we need/want more somewhere. I can’t recommend it enough.
